It was marked with the number 1, because the game takes place during the First World War. The debut trailer has garnered a huge number of views and likes and is now the most popular video in the "Movies and Games" Youtube category.
Gameplay
Dice decided to review the basic component of the game. During the First World War, armored vehicles, as well as aircraft construction, were still in their infancy. The first tanks were used as a breakthrough technique. This is the time when sabers and single-shot rifles are replaced by the first automatic and self-loading weapons. Therefore, Battlefield 1 differs from its predecessors in its special attention to hand-to-hand combat. So far, four melee weapons are known: a mace, a trench shovel, a saber and a bayonet. Each of them has strengths and weaknesses.

The Engineer class was removed, and the Stormtrooper and the Medic are now separate classes.
The main purpose of a Stormtrooper is to fight against technology. The arsenal includes explosives, anti-tank mines, bundles of several grenades and other means to destroy equipment. The stormtrooper will be a kind of bomber.
The medic plays the role of a field doctor. Resurrecting and healing allies is now the task of a separate class.
Support has not changed since the previous parts. This is a class with heavy machine guns - it helps the allies with ammunition and protects with suppressive fire.
The Scout class, as in previous parts, helps the team in gathering intelligence and advancing to victory. The scout can mark players with a sniper rifle, in addition, he has a rocket launcher with which you can mark enemies in a large radius and special cartridges that cause additional damage to equipment.
The problem of "stealing" equipment from their allies has been solved. A separate class has been created for armored vehicles and aircraft - pilot / tanker. Only they will be able to spawn and repair equipment. According to the developers, each tank will be controlled in its own way, have its own characteristics and strengths and weaknesses.
It is worth mentioning the destructibility of the game. In addition to levolution, which is responsible for changing the landscape in the game over time or the player's actions, the developers promise complete destructibility of all buildings, houses, trees and everything in general! Aircraft even break off small parts that affect handling.
Of the little things, it is worth noting that the server browser is now in the game itself. Previously, you had to search for servers through the Battlelog website or through the app on your phone.

Battlefield 1 is definitely one of the contenders for the title of game of the year. Dice has done serious work on the mistakes of the last part, diversified the mechanics and introduced a new setting.
